Part of my web site from 1995 showing a cool place I lived back in the old country

This is what the driveway in Stacy NC looked like in the summer.

The change of seasons changes the scenery too. Also, when the leaves fall from the trees you can hear owls, dogs, and cars further out into the country side. Here's the drive 6 months later after winter had set in.
The house was post and beam construction and next to a salt marsh on Core Sound. The house faced South. To the East was Core Sound, Core Banks and the Atlantic Ocean. During storms you could hear the waves. The South side of the house is mostly glass. There was a small fresh water pond in the front yard.

This is the South West corner of the house taken from across the pond.

We had lots of grass and weeds to mow.

Speaking of cool places to live... In the early 80's I lived at "Nasty Harbor" on Radio Island near Beaufort NC. To the far left is my 18' Harkers Island skiff hauled for bottom paint, for land travel I had a 1966 Ford Galaxy 500. In the foreground is "Camille" aground at low tide.
