We
finally get to install one this month. We've done windlass installations
before, but with windlasses ordered from popular mail order catalogs....
It's not everyday you get to do a job the best way you know how.
FEATURES:
TWO MANUAL MODES:
500 Ibs. pull fast rewind, or an amazing 10,200 Ibs. on 2nd speed,
with only 35 Ibs. exerted on a 10" winch handle. Both manual modes
are used in conjunction with a standard winch handle.
MOTOR DRIVE:
Continuous duty linear power unit-no field windings to burn out,
ever. No external grounding required-unit cannot induce electrolysis. Reversing
is optional-12v, 24v and 32v are standard.
CONSTRUCTION:
All stainless steel of type 304, sealed case mounted to built-in
base plate. Complete with chain pipes and cast urethane deck seal.
MOUNTING:
Below deck motor. No large deck holes to drill. Mounts with 6
stainless steel bolts.
GYPSY and WILDCAT:
Standard cast bronze chromed gypsy and stainless steel wildcat
are interchangeable port to starboard. A double wildcat or a double gypsy
are optional. 1/4" through 3/8" BBB or PC are standard. Others
on request.
